In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks within our distribution center, ensuring that inventory is managed effectively and orders are fulfilled accurately. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience with materials handling, contributing to a safe and productive work environment. Responsibilities Operate order picking equipment to retrieve items from inventory for shipment. Maintain accurate inventory control by conducting regular counts and updates in the AS400 system. Assist in the packing and shipping of products to ensure timely delivery. Follow OSHA safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Handle materials efficiently, ensuring proper storage and organization within the warehouse. Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency. Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any mechanical issues. Skills Proficiency in order picking and experience in a distribution center setting. Strong understanding of inventory management practices. Familiarity with AS400 software for tracking inventory levels. Ability to operate forklifts safely and effectively. Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment as needed. Experience in picking and packing processes to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment. Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to warehouse operations. Excellent materials handling skills, ensuring safe transport of goods within the facility.
