ASSISTANT

The Driver with Warehouse Operations Support is responsible for the safe and compliant pick-up and delivery of CRYOPDP temperature-controlled pharmaceutical shipments between the Logistics Center and client locations, including airport drop-offs and recoveries. This role includes essential support for warehouse operations to ensure seamless end-to-end shipment handling. The incumbent must uphold the highest standards of safety, compliance (including IATA and ADR regulations), professionalism, and act as a key company ambassador.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Transportation & Delivery:
Safely operate company vehicles to pick up and deliver temperature-controlled shipments. Load, unload, inspect, and secure diverse shipments. Plan and adhere to assigned routes, complying with all traffic laws, DOT, and TSA regulations (including vehicle security). Maintain professional and courteous communication with clients during deliveries and pickups. Address basic client concerns and escalate unresolved issues as needed. Complete required trip logs, reports, and documentation (e.g., Proof of Delivery – POD, Packages on Board – POB). Report delays, accidents, vehicle damage, traffic offenses, and license issues immediately according to company procedure. Perform daily and weekly vehicle checks and maintenance logs. Maintain the vehicle in a clean and presentable condition.
Shipment Handling & Compliance:
Handle temperature-controlled shipments (ambient, chilled, frozen, combo) precisely according to standard operating procedures and cold chain protocols. Verify shipment details against manifest and collection documents before acceptance/departure. Conduct thorough shipment inspections using checklists (packaging integrity, DG markings, UN markings – UN3373, UN1845, etc.). Verify commercial invoice compliance for international shipments. Follow IATA and ADR regulations for handling dangerous goods (including biological substances and dry ice). Accurately document dry ice quantities on packaging and Air Waybill (AWB). Prepare, activate, deploy, and retrieve data loggers for temperature monitoring. Document shipment acceptance and condition through photo verification procedures. Ensure accurate chain of custody documentation for all temperature-sensitive shipments. Complete all required tracking application procedures (e.g., Cargowise). Process shipment acceptance slips and secure required signatures. Tender shipments to airlines/carriers, adhering to TSA security measures and airline procedures. Maintain security protocols for vehicle and shipment integrity.
Warehouse Operations Support:
Assist with stock control, including periodic cycle counts of products and packaging materials. Prepare and condition temperature-controlled packaging (TCP), including handling phase change materials and documenting related information. Perform physical picking and packing of materials for shipments. Assist with the preparation and charging of vapor shipping tanks (dry shippers) with liquid nitrogen in full compliance with safety protocols and handling procedures. Receive, clean, sanitize, and prepare empty packaging for reuse. Follow all safety and quality procedures for handling materials and operating warehouse equipment. Working Hours Standard shift is typically Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of our 24/7 operation, flexibility is required. This position may involve occasional out-of-hours, weekend, and holiday work and requires availability to respond to emergencies as a first responder. Overtime may be required.

$24 – $26 per hour depending on experience
