Job Description
We are looking for a motivated, reliable, and excited individual to join our team! As a material handler, you will be responsible for checking all parts and material that come through the shop for customer orders. This includes cleaning, deburring, and loading parts. This role is essential for organizing materials that move within the warehouse and getting everything ready to move to the next step in the production line. As you progress, you will also be responsible for inspecting cut strut and kits (after training and showing proficiency in material handling). Communication and team cooperation are essential to the success of the warehouse and are expected in all aspects of the job.
Responsibilities:
- Clean all material needed for warehouse jobs.
- Assemble parts for all warehouse jobs.
- Inspect cut strut and kits.
- Perform standard maintenance tasks.
- Proficient use of ERP software regarding recording job times, reading prints, and communicating any issues with the warehouse team.
- Collaborate with others on the shipping schedule software and Google Calendars.
- Maintain efficiency of output for all jobs.
- Keep a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Communicate with other team members about any issues, needed equipment or tooling, and any problems with jobs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Be able to demonstrate attention to detail and good record keeping.
- Team player and can collaborate with others in the organization.
- Show initiative, thoroughness, and accuracy.
- Perform all duties in an independent manner with little supervision.
- Recognize and perform duties which need to be performed, although not directly assigned, and assist others as needed.
- Assume responsibility for staying aware of changes in company policies and procedures.
- Maintain cooperative working relationships with supervisors and other staff members.
