Audio Visual Rental Warehouse Mgr and AV Technician Position Available In Nassau, New York

Audio Visual Rental Warehouse Mgr and AV Technician Long Island Video Enterprises LIVE, Inc. Glen Cove, NY 11542 We are seeking one or more experienced Audio Visual Manager / Technicians to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience gained in the field while on site during actual events working with current AV presentation technology and interfacing with corporate clients in addition to at least 2 years management experience in house coordinating and preparing AV rental orders and supervising AV technicians for complex events . This field experience is extremely important to understanding what skills and on-the-job knowledge are necessary to fulfill the requirements of this position. Technical knowledge gained from on site field experience is critical, combined with management and organizational skills that are crucial for this job. The right candidate/s must be a self-starter, extremely organized and detail oriented, and used to a fast paced environment working under pressure when needed. A positive and solution oriented “Can Do” attitude is a must, with flexibility and ingenuity as daily requirements. Evening and possible weekend work likely during peak busy seasons. Flex time available. Experience with AV rental software a plus. CTS certification a plus with opportunities for further industry training. Minimum basic competency with standard computer applications such Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Google Earth, Zoom, Teams, PDF Converters, cloud based file transfer applications, and various media players is required. Industry specific applications such as Wireless Workbench, Adobe Premier, OBS, WebEx, Zoom, Teams, Photoshop, are a plus.

• Responsibilities
• -Oversee day-to-day operations of the AV rental department.
• Ensure timely maintenance, inventory control, and safe storage of AV equipment
• Manage the equipment rental lifecycle after booking, to delivery, setup, and return.
• Coordinate with in house or outside logistics for timely and safe transportation of AV gear.
• Review orders and plan schedule for order preparation.
• Analyze requirements for jobs and use AV rental software to manage needed hardware inventory and labor required to fill orders
• Pull, test, set up, operate, and troubleshoot audio, video, projection, and lighting equipment alone or with staff as required.
• Perform hardware repairs and maintenance where needed or coordinate outside technical repair services.
• Coordinate required stocks of AV expendables
• Maintain an organized and efficient warehouse work environment
• Analyze current order system processes and make recommendations for possible increased efficiency
• Supervise and train AV technicians and rental staff on equipment use, safety protocols, and customer service.
• Schedule and assign staff for setups, deliveries, and event support
• Lead by example in high-pressure event environments and provide on-site support when needed.
• Work alone or with crew persons loading vehicles for show load in/ out.
• Install and configure audio-visual systems in various settings
• Conduct routine assessment of audio-visual equipment
• Provide detailed communication with staff and administration
• Collaborate with clients to determine their audio-visual needs and provide solution recommendations
• Create estimates, rental contracts, and ensure alignment with event timelines and budgets
• Provide technical support during events or presentations when required
• Research and recommend new technologies to enhance rental offerings.
• Establish relationships with AV suppliers and negotiate pricing for rentals, purchases, or repairs.
• Stay updated on AV trends, software updates, and event technology best practices.
• Ensure all required equipment is available and functioning correctly for upcoming events
• Qualifications
• At least 3 years (preferably 5 years) direct experience providing the required skills for professional corporate presentation
• Proficiency in hardware and software troubleshooting for audio-visual systems
• Knowledge of computer hardware related to audio-visual setups
• Familiarity with AV required cabling, low voltage systems, and on-site Best Practices
• Basic electrical knowledge for troubleshooting purposes
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients
• Proficient in using various hand tools for installations and setups
