Warehouse Associate Maid of the Mist 4808 Tomson Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14304 Maid of the Mist Warehouse Seasonal Warehouse Associate Behind every great attraction, there is a great souvenir store! Behind every great souvenir store there is a great warehouse! The Maid of the Mist Warehouse is just that, a great behind the scenes distribution center responsible for storing, and moving supplies, equipment, souvenir merchandise, and Maid of the Mist ponchos. The warehouse is a seasonal operation that operates from mid-February to late November. During peak season, when the Maid of the Mist boats are running, a team of approximately twelve members including two supervisors, two drivers and eight associates work full-time and part-time shifts to cover daily schedules from 8:30am-4:30pm, and extended hours on in-season holidays, and weekends.
JOB SUMMARY
Warehouse associates are responsible for processing incoming shipments of store merchandise, supplies and our signature Maid of the Mist ponchos, filling and delivering daily transfer orders to Maid of the Mist departments, and cleaning and maintaining warehouse buildings and property. - with training Loading & Delivery Shipment processing: Inspecting Ticketing & Folding Stacking & Storing Picking & Packing Climbing (ladders)
Recycling Ponchos:
Lifting & baling used ponchos Operating baler/compressor Facility and property maintenance Routine building and grounds cleanup Operating electric sweeper Assist as requested as business needs dictate
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
To be considered for the role applicants MUST meet the following criteria.
- Able to lift 40+ lbs. continuously throughout the day
- Climb ladders
- Detail oriented
- Able to maintain stationary positions throughout the shift
ERGONOMIC REQUIREMENTS
Sitting, standing, stooping, bending, light lifting, carrying. All the ergonomic requirements must be performed without significant risk of injury to oneself or others or otherwise demonstrate or explain how one can perform essential functions listed above.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to clearly read, speak, and understand English. Ability to understand and execute complex oral and written instructions while working independently. Must be US Citizen. Background check may be required.
