The River Valley family of companies: River Valley Foods, Cavallaro Foods and Garden Spot Foods, distributes a wide range of specialty dry and frozen grocery items and consumable products out of warehouses in Syracuse, NY and New Holland, PA. The Health & Wellness Warehouse Associate is responsible for flexibly performing a variety of warehouse roles including receiving, put-away, replenishment, selecting and other warehouse tasks to meet our customers’ needs. The H&W Warehouse Associate reports to the Health &Wellness Warehouse Manager.

Schedule :

Sunday 9am – 7:45pm, Monday, Tuesday & Thursday 7am – 5:45pm

Wages:

Starting rate of $20.00 per hour with increase up to $21.00 possible within 90 days

Essential Responsibilities:

Arrive on-time for the start of the scheduled shift and attend the daily start-up meeting Perform a pre-operation inspection of any equipment being used during the day Unload inbound freight and segregate as needed Accurately receive and put away freight to its assigned locations in the warehouse Wrap pallets as needed to ensure stability through the warehouse and examine the pallet ensuring it can be stored safely in overhead locations Complete advanced and required let-downs as needed throughout the day Select customer orders in an accurate and efficient manner while meeting the required selection rate Perform general warehouse tasks including constructing boxes, emptying cardboard bins and bales and general cleaning, and organizing in the warehouse Follow company and SQF procedures when handling products, including the handling of damaged cases discovered in the warehouse Always operate all equipment in a safe manner Complete work with a positive attitude that emphasizes exceptional customer service

Key Skills and Experience:

Ability to read and understand English to understand customer orders and supervisor instructions Ability to lift up to 75 pounds Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods of time Able to operate the RF guns accurately Ability to accurately put away and replenish freight utilizing upright forklift Ability to learn/perform receiving function accurately High School Diploma or GED equivalent Minimum of 1 year of Forklift operating experience
