Seeking candidates for a Billing Freight Associate in Fulton, NY! MUST have experience creating Bills of Lading for both inbound and outbound shipments.
Hours:
7am-3:45pm Mon-Fri.
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK OT ON SAT. DURING PEAK SEASON
Position Summary :
Create bills of lading for inbound and outbound freight shipments as well as prepare and package orders for shipment in accordance with established procedures ensuring error-free packaging and cost-effective courier services.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
(Additional duties may be assigned) Review open order report for daily wholesale requirements and create bills of lading. Verify origin and destination, select appropriate carrier, determine class, calculate shipment density to ensure efficient and timely shipment and delivery. Calculate shipping costs using carriers web-based software. Create daily inventory movement requirements by downloading data from business information system into Microsoft Excel and distribute to appropriate areas. Communicate with Mackenzie-Childs retail staff to ensure correct product was ordered. Systematically confirm outbound customer merchandise, validate that shipping information is correct and proper paperwork was used and respond to telephone and email inquiries from both internal and external customers and act as a liaison between departments in the resolution of day-to-day administrative and operational problems. Previous experience in supply chain/logistics. Proficient in Excel data base.
