PURPOSE OF POSITION
In the Long Island City warehouse, supports daytime warehouse operations including receiving, distribution, preparation, and cleanliness. Supports daytime magazine distribution prep and ensures quality, accountability and efficiency. Supports Commercial Returns Processing and Data Entry, Customer Care in timely preparation and receipt of subject materials. As required, processes return claims timely, accurately and efficiently.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Preps for collection: garbage, plastics, and recycling, including wastepaper. Checks-in, preps and or distributes submitted return claim materials to relevant workstations (Data Entry or Commercial Returns Processing) in a manner that ensures efficient workflow and process integrity. Assists with staging of each week’s new return forms, bags, POP and or communications for nighttime pick-up by IC drivers. As directed, performs returns processing including data entry/scanning; plus monitoring system for acceptance or rejection of claims, and exception processing. Escalates high volume discrepancies and barcode issues to VP, Operations or Management. Keeps the LIC distribution center warehouse clean and organized, at all times. Coordinates with subtenant the d use of loading docks and ensures that the warehouse floor remains safe, operational, and navigable at all times. Performs other duties as requested by Management and may be directed to backup other departments. Complies with all safety and employment policies and responsibilities outlined in the NDA Employee Handbook and Safety Manual and performs the Essential Duties of the job.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
1-5 years previous work experience required; in warehouse/packing environment a plus. Must be able to work Monday through Friday, as scheduled. Must be able to take direction well, be attentive to detail, produce accurate results plus work independently and efficiently; and Fluency in English; plus, Spanish or additional languages, preferred.
