Material Handler/Water Spider

Job Description:

Position Summary
This position will be responsible for tracking warehouse stock. Perform as an assistant to the Senior Material Handler/Water Spider, staging materials for bulk production value streams and returning material to the warehouse after production is complete. The Material Handler/Water Spiders will also be responsible for the cycle counting process and maintain organization across all material storage locations in the Saegertown facility.
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Promote proactive safety culture
Maintain accurate quality records
Assist the Senior Water Spiders staging materials for each production HPT and returning material to the warehouse after production is complete
Ability to operate all material handling equipment including forklift
Ability to prioritize production schedule and determine where material is needed
Work 12-hour day or night shift
The ability to safely lift up to 55 pounds
Perform the weekly cycle counts and other ad hoc counts as needed to support inventory accuracy
Maintain plantwide 5S expectations
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Willing to cross-train and perform rotating tasks
Availability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, and evenings
Be a positive HPT member that promotes continuous improvement Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Basic computer skills
Ability to obtain forklift certification
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to follow set schedule
