Work Location & Shifts:

299 Mulberry Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050. Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm, overtime as needed.

Pay:

The hourly pay rate for this position is $18.11/hour + benefits.

OC-BWI Distribution:

The Standup Forklift Operator is an integral part of our production team, involved in daily processes and successful outcomes for our facility and its customers. This position works closely with teammates at multiple levels in customizing product, per specs, in preparation for shipment. The ideal candidate will be experienced and qualified to perform a variety of material handling duties related to the production of residential doors. We’re interested in hiring individuals who are responsible and have excellent communication skills.
Reads/interprets pick tickets, stages doors, sorts by length, width, customer, core type to create correct stacks for shipping
Stages for shipping once wrapped
Conduct pre-shift inspection of the forklift to ensure safety and operational compliance
Provide safe operation of forklift throughout the facility
Maintain a safe and clean working environment
Help with door repairs and general housekeeping
Maintain an adequate level of product and forklift knowledge
Move components and materials safely and report issues to leadership
Wear PPE such as composite/steel toed shoes, safety glasses, earplugs, gloves (per job function), and high visibility clothing. What makes a successful OC-BWI Distribution team member:
Must haves include…
High School Diploma or GED and be at least 18 Years Old
Work safely and follow all plant rules
Show initiative, be a self-starter
Communicate, in English, in a clear and effective manner
Work independently, as well as part of a team, and have end of shift flexibility
Required to mount and dismount forklift multiple times per day
Forklift knowledge and safety procedures
Ability to organize and maintain detailed records
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and have ability to multi-task
Regular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job in order to avoid having any disruptions in production and customer service
Ability to use an RF scanner
Ability to use a pallet jack safely Would be terrific if you also had…
Preferably one year experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting
Preferably one year experience operating a forklift There are some essential physical requirements specific to our work environment, including being able to:
Stand for 8 – 10 hours straight
Climb and descend stairs/ladder as needed for the role
Do repetitive movements (hand, arm, leg; bending and twisting at the waist; bending at the knee; squatting; lift, push and pull 50-pounds)
Withstand exposure to temperature extremes; sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable
