1st Shift Warehouse Associate 2.1 2.1 out of 5 stars Gap, PA 17527 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our distribution center, ensuring that all materials are handled safely and effectively. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse processes and the ability to perform various tasks, including heavy lifting and order picking. Responsibilities Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Load and unload products from trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed. Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage order fulfillment. Perform order picking duties, accurately selecting items for shipment based on customer orders. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA regulations. Assist in inventory control by conducting regular cycle counts and reporting discrepancies. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments. Follow all safety protocols to minimize risks and maintain a safe working environment. Requirements Proven experience working in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred. Mechanical knowledge is a plus, particularly related to warehouse equipment operation. Familiarity with warehouse management systems for tracking inventory is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting, with the capability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently. Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in order picking and inventory management. Knowledge of OSHA standards and commitment to maintaining a safe workplace. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team. Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
