Publishing & Distribution Job Summary:

We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Clerk to join our publishing and distribution team. This role plays a key part in the handling, inventory, and shipment of printed materials; including books, magazines, and promotional content. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate order fulfillment, maintain inventory records, and support smooth warehouse operations tailored to the needs of the publishing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments of printed materials from printers and vendors. Pick, pack, and ship customer and retailer orders accurately and on time. Maintain organized and clearly labeled inventory of books, promotional items, and packaging supplies. Use inventory management systems to track stock levels, shelf locations, and reordering needs. Assist in managing returns and re-stocking of unsold or damaged items. Prepare bulk shipments to distributors, wholesalers, retail partners, and direct customers. Perform regular inventory counts and help reconcile discrepancies. Operate warehouse equipment safely and in compliance with company policies (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks). Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workspace in line with publishing distribution standards.

Requirements:

Willingness and Desire to learn. Timely, organized and cooperative when working in a team setting. Previous warehouse experience, preferably in publishing, media, or a similar field, is a plus but not required Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling printed materials. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to lift boxes up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods. Comfortable working under tight shipping deadlines and new release schedules
