The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring that inventory is managed effectively and orders are processed accurately. This position requires a strong work ethic, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate various warehouse equipment. Duties Operate warehouse equipment such as reach trucks and cranes to move products safely and efficiently. Perform order picking and packing tasks to fulfill customer orders accurately. Maintain inventory control by conducting regular stock checks and updating inventory records using AS400 systems. Assist in the loading and unloading of shipments, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage. Adhere to OSHA safety standards while performing all tasks within the warehouse environment. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency. Engage in heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to maintain safety. Experience Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred, with familiarity in inventory control processes. Mechanical knowledge is a plus, enabling effective troubleshooting of equipment issues. Experience operating reach trucks or cranes is highly desirable. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and commitment to workplace safety is essential. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
