DESCRIPTION

Coordinate and maintain accurate inventory levels daily and ensure timely transactions are completed. Physically receive and ship packages and orders into and out of warehouse, by performing the required duties to quality and productivity standards. Coordinate workflow and direct activities of material handlers as appropriate. Back up manager and run the shift in his absence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Shipments:

Physically receives all incoming packages and orders as well as prepares and ships outgoing packages.

Verification:

Verifies quantities ordered match quantities shipped on packing slips and note discrepancies, check shipments for damages.

Forklift:

Operate the forklift and wrapping machine as needed

Labels:

Determines labeling requirements for shipping containers including any special labels required by the customer
Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Forklift Certification:

Preferred, forklift experience preferred

Interpersonal Skills:

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Organizational Skills:

Excellent organizational skills along with strong ability to multitask

Leadership Skills:

Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.

Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to interact with customers and team members.

Other Skills:

Ability to work effectively with peers, management, and other departments.

Technical Proficiency:

Computer literacy

Safety:

Safety hazard reporting

Documentation:

Maintains schedules as required of documentation per company policy and food facility audit requirements.

Scheduling:

Coordinate and schedule inbound deliveries as required by Procurement.
Perform daily traffic functions

• International shipments
• Coordinate and generate documents.
  Invoicing
• assigning products, lot numbers, freight cost any other request per customer instructions.
  Obtain required quality documentation as required be customer instructions.
  Obtaining
• freight quotes
  Scheduling truck pickups with multiple carriers daily.

Creating and verification of Bill of Lading
Ensuring accuracy of quality paperwork with shipments and receipts
Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Warehouse Setting:

The role is primarily based in the warehouse with loud noises and fluctuations in temperature

Communication:

Ability to communicate in English

Mobility:

Required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.

Lifting:

Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds continuously
