742566 General Purpose of Job Monitor and inspect inventory, packaging and fulfillment processes to ensure products meet required standards. Manually move freight, stock, or other materials or perform other general labor. Includes all manual laborers not elsewhere classified. This position has the potential to turn into a QC Lead position and team lead/supervisor experience is needed.

Pay:

$16.50 – 19.00/hr

Shift:

8am-4:30pm Prior supervisor or team lead experience required. Job Tasks Monitor and inspect inventory, packaging and fulfillment processes to ensure products meet required standards Attach identifying tags to containers, or mark them with identifying information. Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs. Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets. Assemble product containers and crates, using hand tools and precut lumber. Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, and containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, and other equipment. Load and unload cargo. Sort cargo before loading and unloading. Pack containers and re-pack damaged containers. Carry needed tools and supplies from storage or trucks, and return them after use. Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported. Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected. Adjust or replace equipment parts such as rollers, belts, plugs, and caps, using hand tools. Stack cargo in locations such as using pallets or cargo boards. Connect electrical equipment to power sources so that it can be tested before use. Bundle and band material using banding machines. Check out, or requisition all equipment needed for production.
