The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient movement of materials within our warehouse or production area, ensuring that products are handled safely and effectively. This role is essential to maintaining the flow of operations and supporting various logistical functions. Duties Operate various material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks. Assist in shipping and receiving processes by accurately loading and unloading materials. Keep production crew materials at hand as needed. Must look ahead and accurately set up next scheduled job for production. Clean up and stack supplies as the production crew runs throughout the day. Ensure proper storage of materials in designated areas within the warehouse. Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular counts and reporting discrepancies to management. Collaborate with warehouse managers to optimize workflow and improve efficiency. Follow safety protocols to minimize risks associated with material handling. Perform routine maintenance on equipment as needed to ensure operational readiness. Perform piece counts and maintain spreadsheet(s) daily. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot material handling equipment. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. daily. Ability to stand for long hours. Experience with shipping and receiving processes in a warehouse or distribution center setting. Ability to build effective working relationships with team members and managers. Familiarity with forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus. Proficient in using various material handling tools and machinery. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory management. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards. Strong math skills are a plus.
