Job Summary:
Join our team as a Material Handler I, operating a Hamilton press to produce high-quality products. This is a temp-to-perm position with a starting pay rate of $20/hr. You may need to train on the day shift for a few weeks before transitioning to the 2nd shift (3:30 PM – midnight).
Responsibilities:
Operate Hamilton presses in line with our client’s specifications and procedures
Understand and apply Lithographic (Offset) and Flexographic printing methods
Adjust press components to ensure safe operation and quality product production
Verify materials used for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications and regulatory requirements
Maintain all required documentation as per company standards
Assist other operators as needed and ensure compliance with safety and health regulations
Skills Required:
Mechanical ability to diagnose and adjust press issues to ensure safe operation and quality product production
Mathematical ability to calculate job requirements
Ability to use a rule to set up press components and interpret measurements
Basic knowledge of the English language and ability to understand written work-related documents
Ability to understand and implement job jacket requirements
Ability to understand the implications of new information for problem-solving and decision-making
Education:
High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Experience required
Inexperienced Pressman – Must complete a twelve-week on-site training program
Experienced Pressman – Must have a minimum of five years’ experience in running a printing press
