Summary The Material Handler is responsible for the preparation and delivery of raw materials for production and maintains material corridors/staging areas. While performing the duties of the position, Material Handlers are responsible for maintaining a high degree of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 1. Ensure material inventories are maintained for uninterrupted operation. 2. Operating equipment to move product via manual pallet jack and/or forklift. 3. Accurate record keeping of all material transactions for press startup, replenishment, and press turnovers/end of run. 4. Follow all work instructions and quality control documentation. 5. Clear production line of inventory no longer in use (Line Clearance). 6. Create/affix Master label to molded product if required. 7. Review 12 hr. staging report to identify materials required by work center. 8. Complete End-of-Shift (EOS) Status form. 9. Monitor and correct inventory at work center locations. 10. Move and scan product to storage locations. 11. Perform daily forklift inspections. 12. Shift overlap record keeping. 13. Proper set-up and use of auxiliary material handling equipment (dryers, dispensing hoppers, etc.). 14. Ensure proper material transfer/changeover and clean out of material dryers, loader/mixer hoppers so as to not contaminate material. 15. Using computer to enter data and print labels. 16. Ensure all labels are correct according to the work order information. 17. Responsible for the housekeeping of the injection molding machine area and surrounding areas as defined in the department procedures. 18. Maintains an open line of communication to assure all problems and changes are communicated and resolved in a timely manner. 19. As requested, assist other team members in cross-training and conduct on the job training of other associates. 20. Actively participates in Continuous Improvement teams and activities, including 6S & housekeeping. 21. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. High School diploma or equivalent. 2. Must be punctual and dependable. 4. 1 or more years of sit down forklift experience 3. Able to work with little supervision.
