Responsible for a variety of functions within the distribution center, such as receiving, stocking, loading and unloading merchandise, picking and operating heavy-duty equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts.
Role and Responsibilities
WHEN ASSIGNED TO WAREHOUSE DUTIES
•Pull tools and fixtures as needed for production and tool room.
Put tools and fixtures away when returned to warehouse.
Assist with pulling part orders from warehouse and stage for shipping.
Pull packaging and components for production and coordinate inventory level of packaging.
Put finished goods in warehouse and record moves for inventory accuracy.
WHEN ASSIGNED TO SHIPPING AND RECEIVING DUTIES
Pull part orders from warehouse and stage for shipping.
Load trucks and complete appropriate paperwork for shipments
Unload and warehouse items from trucks and complete documentation according to procedures
WHEN ASSIGNED TO SHIPPING CLERK DUTIES
Order trucks for shipments
Run reports as needed to catch drop shipments
WHEN ASSIGNED TO GATEKEEPER DUTIES
Scan all materials, components, WIP and Finished Goods being removed from or added to warehouse
Maintain control of inventory in and out of the warehouse by manning and controlling the Gate
APPLICABLE TO ALL ROLES
Perform inventory control functions within the warehouse
Safely use forklifts and other equipment needed for job task.
Observe all safety requirements and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
Experience in warehouse preferred
Experience using a forklift preferred
Must obtain and maintain a valid forklift license to hold position
All required WilbertU Courses based on job title
Preferred Skills
Above average math skills
Average proficiency in office systems software – word processing, spreadsheets, database
Attention to detail and organization
Good verbal and written communication skills
Able to work well with others with minimal supervision
Ability to successful maneuver and operate a forklift truck
