Hiring for Warehouse Assistant in Spartanburg, SC Pay up to $20/hr. Job Description The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for order filing, receiving inventory, preparing, and shipping orders, along with miscellaneous duties as assigned. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of the warehouse operations. Responsibilities Exhibit, recruit, and coach associates consistent with Core Behaviors. Promote a culture of safety within the warehouse. Receive and verify incoming shipments against packing slips. Accurately sort, maintain, and stage products. Reject damaged goods and forward them to Purchasing for processing. Put away stock ensuring proper labeling and placement. Receive purchase orders, pick products, and package items for shipment, ensuring quantities, destinations, and routing are correct. Log non-conforming products and verify returned goods. Conduct cycle counts of inventory and work with the Purchasing department to correct discrepancies. Maintain accurate records and a clean, organized workspace. Perform hands-on tasks using trade or computer hardware and software, including spreadsheets and databases. Perform other duties as assigned. Adhere to ISO processes and procedures. Essential Skills Proficient with basic computer operations, including P21, Clippership, and World Ship. Proficient in basic mathematical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent customer service skills. Punctuality and a sense of urgency. Proficiency in following ISO procedures. Basic product knowledge. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. One year of previous experience required. Up to two years of experience in a similar position preferred, including inventory and receiving experience. Forklift certified. Work Environment Employees are required to speak and understand English, stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The environment may be slightly dirty or involve occasional exposure to elements. Work is generally performed during traditional working hours, Monday through Friday. Frequent lifting and moving of up to 75 pounds is required. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to clearly focus. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as eye protection, hearing protection, and foot protection with metatarsal guard is required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spartanburg, South Carolina. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 – $19.00/hr.
