40 / week General Description The Warehouse Associate is responsible for assisting in a variety of warehouse duties, including: shipping and receiving, railcar/bulk truck loading and unloading, repackaging, railyard tasks, equipment and facility cleaning, and keeping correct inventory. Primary Responsiblities Builds boxes in preparation for packaging Assists with bulk truck/railcar loading and unloading and repackaging orders Assists with railyard checks Operates baler as need (if applicable) Takes accurate inventory Assists with shipping and receiving tasks, including: loading and unloading containers and dry vans per company requirements, inspecting goods being shipped and received, reporting defective or damaged items as well as any paper work discrepancies Operates forklift and other machinery including pneumatic transfer equipment; exhibit good stewardship of all Pax equipment and supplies Maintains quality service by following organization standards and ensuring correctness of all work performed Maintains safe and clean work environment by maintaining clean work area; complies with procedures, rules, and regulations Communicates effectively and readily with peers, Warehouse Leads, Warehouse Coordinator, and Warehouse Manager; reports any issues regarding Pax orders, personnel, equipment, inventory, etc. to Warehouse Manager Looks for continuous improvement opportunities and communicates with Manager regarding them Secondary Responsiblities Other duties as assigned Expectations Must be able to carry at least 50lbs occasionally and perform a variety of physical activities such as lifting and carrying. Able to work in extremely warm and cold environments. Flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities Work with all employees at Pax Industries in a professional and respectful manner Notify management immediately if anyone is operating with disregard for safety Able to be attentive to details on paperwork, both in recording and reading Take initiative regarding one’s work assignments Keep confidential information that could compromise Pax’s competitive advantage, including but not limited to rate information, financial information, and operating procedures Skills/Experience requirements Forklift experience (preferred) Basic computer skills (preferred)
