$33.9K – $41K a year 1 day ago Qualifications Oracle Customer service Mid-level Microsoft Office CMMS High school diploma or GED Warehouse experience 2 years Communication skills Full Job Description The Warehouse Material Handler identifies all items that are to be received in the Facilities warehouse storeroom and manages the storeroom inventory. This is the primary person to assist customers at the storeroom window and works with external customers for returns and replacement parts that are received incorrectly. Receives all materials ordered by the Storeroom Buyer both in Facilities CMMS system as well as DASH (Oracle) Adjusts inventory levels as needed when items are returned, or sold out of the warehouse Closes purchase orders (PO’s) in CMMS system and accurately verifies all shipments from the packing slip Matches packing slips to invoices for the buyer to verify prior to approving payment Communicates with internal customers when shipments arrive and completes all paperwork to verify delivery of goods Works with storeroom buyer regarding vendor issues, or changes based off receiving information as needed Verifies cost of deliveries is aligned with purchases made by buyer and enters cost in CMMS system Maintains radio log and disbursement to the shops and Facilities staff as needed Performs quarterly inventory counts as assigned by Facilities Work Control Manager Performs annual inventory count, reviews annual count with Facilities Work Control Manager Reports annual inventory dollars to Central Budget Office Organizes storeroom inventory while working with the Buyer to ensure accurate levels are set for re-orders Communicates need for any equipment needed in the storeroom , as well as any equipment repairs Maintains a safe and clean work environment in the Facilities storeroom Sends out-of-date items to surplus after approval from Facilities Administration Works with safety and risk management regarding removal of any out-of-date chemicals The ideal candidate will possess the following: Office 365 experience Good communication and customer service skills Ability to work with physical lifting, moving, and warehouse pallets daily Experience with inventory and warehouse procedures in a higher education institution The review of applications will begin June 25, 2025, will continue until the position is filled.
Minimum:
Requires a high school diploma and two years of relevant experience in a storeroom or warehouse/receiving environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Preferred:
Experience working in a storeroom or warehouse in a higher education or public school system is preferred.
