PURPOSE OF POSITION
Perform production support functions. Meet the daily production support requirements deadline by preparing and operating cardboard bailing equipment. Ensuring the proper sorting and organization of recyclable materials and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the safe operation and monitoring of cardboard baling equipment. Sort and load cardboard materials into machine Operate machine to compress cardboard into bales Wire tie compressed bales before removal from machine Remove bales from machine and stage for transport Ensure the bales meet company standards Follow safety guidelines and procedures while operating equipment Responsible for maintaining 5S of area Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment and area. Coordinate with the production and warehouse departments. Actively seek ways to improve processes. Perform any other related job duties as assigned by the area supervisor or lead.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Prior experience in a warehouse or shipping environment. Prior Machine operating experience
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
JUDGEMENT/REASONING ABILITY
Able to quickly resolve or escalate problems that arise.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Basic math skills. Accurate counting skills. Legible handwriting. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Detail oriented. Good organizational skills.
