Newberry TanksEquipment is a leading steel tank fabricator serving the oil jobber, agriculture, industrial, and equipment contractors nationwide. We manufacture steel petroleum storage tanks, bulk oil dispensing tanks and distribute accessory equipment. The company was founded in 1927 in Memphis, Tennessee. As a fast-paced company that is expanding, we are looking for a Warehouse Associate. A successful candidate will efficiently and effectively:

SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Unload Steel Raw Materials and Load Tanks Operate lift equipment smoothly, carefully, skillfully, and safely Receive, Count, Inspect, Verify inbound Shipments Transport raw materials and tank fabrications tofrom production workstations Keep updated records of inventoryequipment Produce activity logs Comply with company policies and guidelines Assist in keeping a safe working environment Pull items from bin locations for each sales order Pull tanks from the yard location Palletize tanks, wrap tanks, vacuum tanks, do occasional paint touch ups Clean tanks before shipping/ apply mineral oil to inside of tanks Accessory installs on tanks Apply correct placards, UL labels, and shipping labels to tanks Assist in daily tank audits Transfer tanks in Sage from Paint Stage to Ship Prep Identify errors on installs Ability to comprehend customer approved drawings Ability to distinguish variations in tanks Ability to distinguish various accessories for installs Take pictures of the accessory install process for the customer folders Communicate with welders, fabricators, and painters for tank requirements Has knowledge of WMS and uses the RF Gun for Sage Transfers Makes sure doors and gates are closed before leaving Assists the Lead and Supervisor on all other work assignments

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Experience with forklift, cranes and material handling equipment Simple reading and arithmetic such as addition and subtraction of whole numbers and decimals Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations for forklift, cranes, and material handling equipment

EDUCATION

High School diploma/GED required

EXPERIENCE

At least three years of successful continuous employment in a commercial or industrial setting. Must have equipment operating experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Moderate physical effort; requires standing for entire shift Able to lift up to 60 lbs. throughout the day Good eye and hand coordination Visual acuity in order to perform tasks successfully Able to climb, stoop, bend to move from forklift to truck and in yard
