HEALTH, SAFETY, AND ENVIROMENT

Lead the implementation and execution of the HSE program. Demonstrate personal commitment to HSE compliance by leading by example, being knowledgeable about safety policies/procedures, and understanding environmental permits and policies. Share personal safety stories and lead shift safety meetings and toolbox talks. Foster an environment of openness, trust, and mutual respect to enhance HSE performance. Regularly communicate HSE policies and expectations, holding direct reports accountable. Conduct frequent safety observations, identify and correct workplace hazards, and coach employees. Ensure that working safely is a condition of employment. Support and adhere to Westlake HSE initiatives such as Life Critical Rules, Safe Start, and the STAR program. Facilitate safety training for employees. Provide injury response and case management, and lead or participate in accident investigations. Use formal corrective action and recognition to encourage desired behaviors. Achieve site metrics by completing assigned HSE tasks and ensuring direct reports do the same.
