Warehouse Associate 2.9 2.9 out of 5 stars 100 Trousdale Way, Hartsville, TN 37074 Job Description Title Warehouse Associate – First Shift (Monday through Friday, 8:30AM to 5PM) Department(s) Shipping/Receiving Reports to Warehouse Supervisor Job summary To ensure the accurate and timely delivery of products. Operates warehouse equipment to build and send appropriate orders. Verifies and keeps records of incoming finished goods and/or raw materials and outgoing shipments of finished goods and prepares items for shipment. Operates various powered industrial lift trucks (Standup, Sitdown, and Turret). Summary of essential job functions Detects and reports damaged loads, leaking materials, and other unsafe conditions or situations to Supervisor. Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage, from storage or production areas to shipping areas, shrink wrap machine or to other designated areas. Sorts and places raw materials or finished goods to designated locations. Fills requisitions or assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or conveys orders to small parcel packing station or shipping dock. Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Uses appropriate Personal Protective Equipment for work area and maintains a clean safe condition. Performs all functions necessary for shipping and receiving, including maintaining inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Operates RF scanners in order to accurately fill orders and effectively manage inventory. Carries out loading and unloading of material orders and shipments onto carriers. Additional duties that may be assigned by manager. Minimum requirements 2 years’ experience preferred. Must be able to calculate/estimate weight of load and its effect on lift truck lifting capacity. Must follow written regulations and procedures and written and oral instructions. Must use good judgement in moving load/lift truck. Be certified to operate forklift. Able to repetitively lift +50lbs. Abilities required Walking; standing; climbing; balancing crouching; reaching; good hand/eye coordination; must be able to see, hear, and talk.
