Fairview, TN The Warehouse Associate play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by efficiently managing inventory, loading and unloading goods, and maintaining a safe working environment. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. A Warehouse Associate has attention to detail, good organization skills and is a team player that delivers an excellent service to internal departments. Job tasks include but are not limited to: Operate warehouse equipment to load and unload shipments, move inventory safely and efficiently, and ensure accuracy in stock counts and condition of goods. Utilize Inventory Management System (IMS) for receiving shipments into inventory, picking orders, tracking inventory levels and managing stock movements. Support the operation by preparing orders for shipment and ensuring timely delivery. Maintain organized storage areas by following proper inventory management practices and adhere to OSHA regulations and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Assist in conducting regular inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and operational efficiency. Participate in the resolution of internal inquiries regarding shipping/receiving/inventory. Work cross-functional supporting Customer Service, Sales and Purchasing Department to keep track of inventory updates and stock accuracy. Operating standard warehouse equipment and systems including MS Office applications, copy machine, fax machine, and scanners. Ad hoc tasks as necessary, including to keep the workplace clean as an essential part of workplace safety.
Qualifications and requirements:
Attention to detail, goal oriented and strong work ethic. Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center is preferred. Forklift experience preferred. Training can be provided if willing to learn. Familiarity with OSHA standards and safety regulations. Proficient in using inventory management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking. Ability to operate reach trucks, pallet jacks, pallet wrappers, picking carts, hand held scanners, hand trucks and dollies, and other warehouse equipment safely. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for effective inventory management. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and supervisors. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment maintaining high standard of quality and safety. Dependable and on time, must have reliable transportation and driver’s license. Provide support to internal teams with positive attitude and professionalism.
