INDUSTRIAL RECYCLING GROUP LEADER SUMMARY

Responsible for supervision of and performance of Waste Management (WM) Team Member, Team Leader, Specialist and Technician activities related to processing scrap, recyclable, non-hazardous, and hazardous waste generated from the process of building automobiles. Oversees delegated operations for the WM team. The responsibilities of this position also include contributing to Environmental Management System (EMS) performance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in the protection of the environment and reduction of pollution from the activities within the organization.

INDUSTRIAL RECYCLING GROUP LEADER ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Follows safety guidelines Ensures all monthly safety KPIs are completed Ensures all rules involving safety and operations are enforced Requisition of waste containers Schedules recyclable/scrap metal switch outs Assists in coordination of Waste Shipping activities Perform monthly internal waste audits Signs Non-Hazardous Waste manifests Assists in receiving and shipping of waste containers Assists in preparation of the monthly waste reports Ability to use PC

  • word processing, spreadsheets, databases Communicates problems to management Assists in creation of operational procedures/instructions and other documentation Must be qualified to perform all duties and responsibilities of WM Team Member, Team Leader, Specialist and Technician Must be able to perform all waste processes Conduct team meetings and training Other duties may be assigned, some travel may be required
INDUSTRIAL RECYCLING GROUP LEADER EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Typically, an Associates Degree or equivalent with 3-6 year’s experience including supervisory experience.
