GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
The purpose of this position is to support the company’s needs by providing hands-on environmental waste support and work closely with the production department to assist with all things environmental for a large quantity generator (LQG) while promoting safety. The main focus of the position will entail Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) compliance, daily waste treatment activities and supporting the company’s safety initiatives.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

- Regular attendance in accordance with Attendance Policy
- Attend and complete all mandatory trainings by necessary completion date
- Perform all job functions in compliance with Code of Conduct Policy

- Perform Wastewater treatment operator tasks
- Inventory and place orders for materials
- Coordination of waste shipments
- Schedule employees and plan for coverage of all shifts in department
- Assist facility with preparation for CTDEEP routine waste inspections
- Perform hazardous waste identification, testing as required, labeling, preparing waste for transportation
- Manage accumulation of satellite (drums) location
- Assisting with waste determination and characterizing
- Perform applicable inspections and support record keeping duties
- Perform facility personnel training, including on-the-job training
- Support the wastewater treatment operations
- Gain and maintain ability to sign waste manifests
- Maintaining inventory logs
- Responding to releases
- Operates forklifts, pallet jacks and other material moving equipment.
- Lead monthly Safety Meetings (meeting invites, meeting minutes, etc)
- Follow up with injured employees and with Occupational Health provider (medicals, return to work status, etc)
- Provide employee safety training for both new hire orientation and annual subjects
- Coordinate fire drills at both facilities annually
- Investigation events, near misses and accidents timely so accurate reporting internally and externally.

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent, Degree or Certification in related field Preferred 3 Minimum Years of Experience in the environmental field Required Demonstrate skills in: Lead/Supervisory experience Management of waste streams Environmental & Waste regulations Microsoft office Understand analytical Data Basic Mathematics Knowledge of LOTO, Forklift, Confined Space, Crane/Hoist operation and Guarding principles Driving Required occasional visit to other locations

Upon Hire Physical Ability :
Tasks involve ability to push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs regularly with or without the assistance of a hoist is required. Tasks involve ability to climb stairs and ladders frequently. Tasks involve ability to bend and kneel frequently.
Sensory Requirements :
Tasks require visual perception and discrimination. Tasks require audio perception and discrimination. Tasks require oral communications ability.
Environmental Factors :
Tasks are regularly performed with exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, humidity, fumes, temperature and noise extremes, machinery, vibrations, electric currents and/or toxic/poisonous agents.
