Santa Fe Spring, Ann Street, CA SUMMARY Comply with all safety requirements and proper use of PPE. Has ability to perform all functions of level I, II and III workers. Train new employees on wastewater treatment systems. Assist Plant Services Supervisor with supervision of plant services personnel at Ann Street including approval of time cars if necessary. Work on environmental concerns which might adversely affect employee safety and health. Perform administrative tasks (i.e., Schedule Meetings, update environmental reports such as inspection documents, graphs, etc.).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Take directions from the Plant Services Supervisor. Operate Wastewater Treatment System with minimal supervision. Evaluate results and make recommendations as necessary for maintaining compliance with regulatory agencies. Coordinate work of outside contractors involved in wastewater and environmental tasks. Investigate employee complaints concerning environmental or safety issues. Maintain environmental operation and inspection logs. Complete inspections and audits as required. Maintain water treatment logs. Provide Haz-Com/Right-to-Know information to plant services employees. Assist with industrial hygiene testing including but not limited to: LIA (Lead in Air) and in draft testing and reports. Assist supervisor to conduct employee training for plant services personnel. Responsible for effective application of environmental policies and practices. Investigate environmental spills and incidents. Responsible for managing hazardous waste programs including monitoring movement, storage, tracking, labeling, and shipping of hazardous waste containers. Assist with plant housekeeping inspections and take steps to correct non-conforming. May interface with regulatory agencies (CUPA, Sanitation and OSHA)

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Good organizational skills, Ability to understand and apply government regulations related to hazardous materials and waste. Experience in inspecting for hazardous materials and understanding processes which can produce hazardous wastes and hazardous air pollutants. Ability to deal effectively with people. Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point. Good written and verbal communication skills are essential. Must be able to function well in multi-tasked environment, be self-motivated and open-minded. EDUCATION and/or

EXPERIENCE 3-5
