Full Job Description Position Description:
The Certification Coordinator is responsible for performing all duties relating to certification, tuition reimbursement, and highly qualified status of all employees. The Certification Coordinator supports Human Resources processes by assisting employees with obtaining or maintaining certification, ensuring the district remains in compliance with Louisiana Department of Education Bulletin 741, and assisting with the preparation of the district’s PEP report.

Monitorsandtrackscertificationofalldistrict Consults with non-certifiedemployeesandprovidethemwithalternativecertificationoptionstoassistthemingaining EvaluatesdistrictcertificationandsubmitsrequireddataforannualPEPreporttotheappropriate Developspartnershipswithlocalcollegesanduniversitiestoremainabreastofalternativecertificationprogram Conducts in-service on Certification/Tuition Reimbursement for school-basedemployeesonanasneeded Processes Tuition Reimbursement applications and required documents associated with Tuition Reimbursement to ensure employees are enrolled in the appropriate courses and receive a timely DevelopsandmaintainsarecordkeepingsystemforallparticipantsintheTuition Reimbursement Maintainsappropriatedocumentationofallcommunicationwithemployeeswhohavecertificationconcernsandconductcertificationconsultations,ifapplicable,orparticipatesinHumanResourceshearings, if necessary Processesinitialandrenewalcertificationapplicationsinatimely Participatesinconferences,seminars,ortrainingshostedbytheLDOEtoremainabreastofchangesincertification TravelsandprovidessupporttotheRecruitmentandSelectionteamduringpeakrecruitmentseasonandparticipateinrecruitment Performs other duties outlined by the
