The C.H.a.

R.M. (Center for Hard-to-Recycle Materials)Recycle Technician will play a crucial role in the recyclingprocess by sorting and processing various recyclable materials andwill work as part of a team to ensure that materials are properlysorted for efficient recycling, contributing to our mission ofsustainability. The RT performs routine manual labor which does notrequire a high degree of skill; may drive trucks and light tractorsand related work as apparent or assigned. This position involves assisting the public with proper disposal ofhard-to-recycle items (such as cardboard, cans, plastic,electronics, paints, pesticides, batteries, and other specialtywaste), maintaining a clean and safe site, and ensuring excellentcustomer service. The role works closely with the C.H.a.

R.M.Support Specialist in ensuring that all materials are handledsafely, efficiently, and in compliance with environmentalregulations. This position requires reporting to multiplelocations, as needed, to support various operational needs acrossour organization.

Essential Job Functions:

Guide and assist customers through the drop-off process. Identify and recognize incoming materials by type and category. Represent the company and its recycling mission in a friendly,professional manner. Educate customers about our recycling programs and acceptablematerials. Sort and organize incoming items by type (plastic, cardboard,glass, electronics, pesticides, electronics, batteries, etc.). Safely handle, store, and prepare materials for pickup or furtherprocessing. Conduct regular inspections of incoming materials for quality andcontamination. Maintain the overall cleanliness, safety, and organization of thefacility. Monitor drop-off bins and coordinate scheduled pickups. Enforce all safety protocols and compliance with local and federalregulations. Report operational issues, incidents, or concerns tosupervisor. May drive or operate skid steer, forklift, small tractor,truck/vehicle that does not require CDL. Performs related manual labor and general daily maintenance asrequired. Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required Skills, Abilities and Knowledge:

Basic skills in the operation, maintenance and safe use of trucksand light tractors; basic knowledge of the problems involved inoperating assigned equipment; general knowledge of traffic rulesand regulations; Knowledge of safety rules, including accidentcauses and prevention (taught on the job); Ability to maintaineffective working relationships with associates and general public;Ability to effectively communicate in a courteous manner anddemonstrate teamwork skill; Ability to follow directions.

Special Requirements:

Must possess a valid Driver’s License Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays tocomplete work within specified period of time Must be willing to adhere to dress code standards, includingwearing clean and neat attire, high-visibility uniforms, andsafety-approved footwear and gloves as required Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Basic understanding of environmental and hazardous materialhandling (training provided) Ability to lift 100 lbs. and work in a physically demanding,outdoor environment Willing to travel between sites and adaptability to different workenvironments Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude
