The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and cleanliness of the recycling center, ensuring that materials are processed correctly and safely. This position requires a strong commitment to environmental sustainability and the ability to operate various heavy equipment. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as front loader trucks, garbage trucks, roll-off trucks, and loaders to facilitate the movement of recyclable materials. Fabricate and maintain equipment as necessary to ensure optimal performance. Clean and sanitize work areas regularly to promote a safe and healthy environment. Perform heavy lifting tasks, including loading and unloading recyclable materials. Dig and prepare areas for new recycling initiatives or improvements. Assist in sorting materials and ensuring proper disposal methods are followed. Maintain accurate records of materials processed and assist with inventory management. Skills Proficiency in heavy equipment operation, including front loader trucks, garbage trucks, roll-off trucks, and loaders. Ability to fabricate basic components for equipment maintenance.
