Position Summary:
Perform cleaning duties to maintain buildings, grounds, common spaces, tools, and equipment in a clean, sanitary, neat, and orderly state, ready for use, and in specified areas, stocked with supplies.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Follow cleaning schedules and perform cleaning duties on an as needed basis according to visual indication and verbal requests by others. 2. Clean rooms or work areas by dusting and cleaning furniture, walls, floors, machines, and equipment. 3. Service, clean, organize and supply restrooms and lunchrooms. 4. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors, surfaces, and fixtures. 5. Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications. 6. Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. 7. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. 8. Clean and polish furniture and fixtures. 9. Gather and empty trash. 10. Maintain grounds of property. 11. Clean 5 and 32 gallon buckets. 12. Load and unload the rack washer. 13. Clean the black totes used in production. 14. Assist with the set up of decorations, tables, chairs, and refreshments to prepare facilities for events such as meetings, tours, and inspections and the removal and clean up following events. 15. Provide information to supervisors and co-workers regarding the need for materials, equipment, supplies, for repairs or additions to the building operating systems needed for cleaning and maintenance duties. 16. Fill out the sanitation log books located in the restrooms and production area daily. 17. Performs duties safely and reports unsafe conditions or actions. 18. Assists in other duties as needed and directed.
