In this position, one will safely operate and bale material to ensure they are properly prepared for pick up, load out bound trucks in the warehouse, help with production and all material processing. You will begin training to become a supervisor by learning on site safety training, daily operations, production by working with your manager to help oversee a small group of employees. Duties Sort and place materials into baler or dumpster Operate a baler and run various machinery like a loader or forklift Follow instructions and communicate instructions well to others Remove plastic and cardboard from containers and place these items into the baler to be recycled on a daily basis Moves all bales for storage until pick up date Help to keep Safety, Production and Daily operations moving and up to date Load and unload recycling trucks. Maintain cleanliness in your recycling area on a daily basis Lead a group of employees by working with your manger on day to day tasks. Experience Recycling, 1 year (Preferred) Forklift or Front end loader experience, 1 year (Preferred) Baler and Wire Tier experience, 1 year (Preferred) Lead man roll, 1 year (Preferred) Qualifications High School Diploma or an equivalent is required 1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment 1+ years of experience working in recycling setting is preferred Goal oriented with the ability to carry out instructions with great communication and work as a team Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to working near moving mechanical parts and the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb in and out of machine, and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
