JOB DESCRIPTION
Under close supervision, provides semi-skilled maintenance and repair support for the City’s Streets and rights-of-ways.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED. The equivalent of three (3) years of facilities and roadway construction maintenance experience is desirable. Ability to be contacted by telephone for call-out after hours. Requires Florida CDL Class B license with air brake and tanker endorsements to be obtained within twelve (12) months of date of hire. Work involves difficult working positions and movement of objects weighing up to 95 pounds. Performs semi-skilled labor in mainly outdoor conditions constantly exposed to heat, cold, adverse weather, uneven terrain, traffic, fumes, water, fields, chemicals, solvents, moving objects, insects, and toxic plants, etc. Operates small equipment such as shovel, pick, chain saw, edger and mowers to heavy equipment including trucks, tractor, backhoe, traffic roller, and steel wheel roller. Requires the physical ability to perform all job functions including the ability to walk, push, bend, stoop, carry, lift, push, dig, and climb. Call Human Resources with questions at 727-369-0633.
