General Summary:

Under general supervision performs various stormwater construction and maintenance operations. Reports to the

Stormwater Superintendent Description:

Hauls materials/supplies required for stormwater construction and maintenance activities; hauls debris from canals and ditches and dumps where designated Performs routine stormwater work as shoveling out culverts, raking out ditches, cutting driveways for changing culvert elevations, installing new culverts, rectifying existing culvert elevations, etc.; occasionally shoots grades for drainage requirements Performs routine inspection and maintenance on designated trucks to ensure safe and proper working condition; refers needed repairs to the vehicle maintenance division Operates equipment typically utilized for canal and grade maintenance Adheres to best management practices when performing capital improvements or maintenance work including City codes, State and Federal rules and regulations Minimum High school diploma required

Qualifications:

1 – 3 years of experience in operating the job-related equipment required Valid Florida Commercial Class “B” driver’s license required Class “C” Stormwater Technician certification preferred Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities Applications may be obtained from the Human Resources Department, or from our web site www.cityofedgewater.org Education documents must be submitted at time of application
