- We are hiring a Maintenance Equipment Operator I to supportwaste management and recycling services across campus.

Tour of Duty:
Tuesday to Saturday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (Sunday and Monday off)

- Initial assignment only; subject to change according toinstitutional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy powerequipment such as cranes, backhoes, front-end loaders, bulldozers anddump trucks.
- Drive snow plows, sanders, sweepers, and tractor mowersfor maintenance.
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles andequipment.
- Maintain records and reports on vehicle use, mileage,accidents, fuel, and repairs.
- Load/unload furniture, supplies, andequipment.
- Work with food services and waste haulers to ensure properdisposal and recycling.
- Transport people and materials acrosscampus.
- Provide feedback on waste management and recyclingimprovements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
RequiredQualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Class II Motor Vehicle OperatorLicense.
- Valid Massachusetts Class C Equipment Operator License.
- Commitment to customer service excellence, diversity, and inclusion.
- Experience working with people from diverse racial, ethnic andsocioeconomic backgrounds.
- Knowledge of laws, rules, and regulationsfor motor vehicles and heavy equipment.
- Ability to operate, maintain,and inspect power equipment safely.
- Mechanical aptitude, physicalstamina, and manual dexterity.
- Ability to lift and carry heavyobjects.
- Strong problem-solving skills and emergency decision-makingabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Computer skills (attendancetracking, departmental correspondence, email, internet, Schooldude).
