Job Description

I. Job Summary Segregate and feed fluorescent mercury containing lamps into WMLT processing equipment. Segregate and properly process all non-fluorescent mercury containing lamps following proper hand processing procedures. Ensure all safety and compliance procedures are followed. II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. Follow proper processing procedures for mercury containing lamps Follow all required safety and personal protective equipment facility guidelines, including the use of a respirator, as required Conduct daily pre- and post- shift safety inspection of equipment Keep work area clean of debris and maintain good housekeeping Ensure proper labeling and container requirements are met III. Certifications, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements 24 Hour Hazwoper Certification Must have the ability to obtain medical clearance to wear a full-face negative pressure respirator C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs over 100 times during an 8-hour shift Must have a general knowledge of waste profiling, lab analysis, waste determination, E&P exemptions. Must have a solid understanding of waste disposal, recycling, co-product, and re-use options. Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills. V.
