This position is responsible for answering phone calls, routing customer inquiries, managing and updating service ticket records, and maintaining data accuracy in tracking systems. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and skilled at multitasking in a fast-paced customer-facing environment. Essential Job Functions and Duties Customer Communication Answer and direct incoming customer calls professionally and courteously. Monitor and route customer emails to appropriate service administrators. Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking service or warranty support. Service Ticket Management Log and track incoming service tickets using company systems and spreadsheets (e.g., Google Sheets). Follow up on open tickets and ensure timely updates and resolutions. Coordinate with service technicians and administrators to ensure proper ticket assignment and closure. Administrative Support Maintain organized records of service communications and resolutions. Assist in preparing service performance reports as directed. Provide general administrative support to the Customer Service Manager. Cross-Team Coordination Liaise between departments (warehouse, service, production) to resolve customer inquiries efficiently. Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Required Competencies To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively. Demonstrates professionalism and a positive attitude. Proficient in basic computer applications, especially Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail). Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred. Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role is a plus. Experience using ticketing systems or CRM software is advantageous. Familiarity with marine industry products and terminology is a plus. Work Schedule / Additional Requirements Normal hours are Monday-Friday (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) Overtime may be required depending on customer and service needs. Post-offer background check and drug screening may be required. Physical Requirements Must be able to sit, stand, and work at a desk or computer for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.. occasionally for filing or documentation transport. Safety Glasses must be worn at all times when in certain production areas. Enclosed non-skid shoes must be worn at all times when in the production areas.
