Job Description

Donations Coordinator A Kid’s Place of Tampa Bay Inc Brandon, FL 33511 A Kid’s Place is currently recruiting for a Donations Coordinator. This position is responsible for processing in-kind donations to support the mission of the organization. The Donations Coordinator will report to the Community Engagement Supervisor. This position is part-time and flexible with the hours inside Monday through Friday, 8:30 am-5:00 pm, hourly and non- exempt. Pay range is $17/hour

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Responsible for receiving donations and providing tax receipts to donors. Oversee the donation room by managing the inventory and through the utilization of volunteer support. Provide ongoing training of volunteers for the donation room. Communicate with potential donors regarding items to be donated, as well as, planned deliveries of donations. Support the development department during drives and special events. Display schedule and duty flexibility during the holiday season. Demonstrate a positive and respectful attitude with interacting with staff and donors. Be an effective team member when working with staff and volunteers, ensuring the engagement and motivation of others. Represent A Kid’s Place in a positive, professional manner. Other duties assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Ability to pass a Level 2 FDLE background screen, drug screen, and local background screen upon initial hire and annually thereafter. Possession of a valid driver’s license and eligibility for acceptance by the company’s insurance carrier. Reliable in arriving on time and ready to perform job duties, with flexibility to work all assigned shifts and hours. Maintain a professional demeanor to clients, staff, and external parties. Must be culturally sensitive and able to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of personnel and children. Strong time-management abilities with a demonstrated capacity to multi-task efficiently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with all employees while complying with EEOC rules and accepting constructive feedback from management in a professional manner.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent required. At least one years experience working in a similar work setting.
