Order Entry Specialist Job Description As an Order Entry Specialist, you will focus on the order entry of windows and doors for our homeowners. Your role will align with data entry, internal operations, and administrative duties to ensure seamless service delivery. Responsibilities Process complex orders and requests with 100% accuracy from intake to filing. Ensure the customer management system is updated appropriately. Clarify, diagnose, and resolve customer order issues. Create packets or other materials as required for the sales fulfillment process. Prepare customer correspondence. Identify and implement ways to improve the overall level of service. Communicate order fulfillment process information to internal delivery partners and provide customer/delivery partner feedback. Administer programs, such as the customer referral program. Train others in office and customer service processes when needed. Create purchase orders, process payments, or process receipts as necessary. Essential Skills Order entry and data entry skills. Customer service and order processing experience. Proficiency in CRM systems, particularly Salesforce. High school diploma or equivalent. 1-3 years’ work experience in order processing. Demonstrated word processing, spreadsheet, and general computer skills. Strong phone etiquette and verbal communication skills. Intermediate writing skills. Ability to determine customer needs and assist in resolving issues. Persuasiveness, time management skills, and a results-oriented approach. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with clerical tasks and purchase order management. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Work Environment This position is a full onsite role, located at a 55-person facility with 7 office staff. You will work closely with an install project manager, design consultant, concierge/project coordinator, and the production team in Minnesota. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 4:30 pm or 8:30 am to 5 pm. This is a temp-to-hire role with opportunities for growth, including potential supervisor and manager openings.
