Role:

As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the business operations and day-to-day management of (HVAC, plumbing, and electrical service lines within a designated service area. You will supervise all technicians, ensure excellent service, swiftly resolve customer service disputes. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a strong understanding of the home service industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Hire and train Plumbing technicians Inventory control Customer service Run service calls

  • 30% commission rate with 20% materials Vehicle management Quality control Facilitate all communication from office to field Lead a team of technicians, ensuring that they are prepared and trained to perform their roles effectively.

Coordinate daily job assignments, ensuring efficient routing and scheduling of field technicians to optimize productivity and minimize downtime. Ensure all work performed meets or exceeds company standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated customer issues related to field operations. Address customer complaints and ensure issues are resolved to the customer’s satisfaction. Manage inventory to ensure trucks are fully stocked and technicians have all tools necessary to complete the day’s job. Manage budget, costs, and resources within the territory to meet company and departmental goals.

Requirements :

Ten years’ experience as a field service technician in a residential setting. 3-5 years proven leadership experience in the home service industry. Proficiency in using technology and software systems to drive operational efficiencies. Understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques. Strong understanding of business operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and resource allocation in service-based environments. Strong strategic planning, operations skills, with a focus in driving efficiency, and achieving service line KPIs. Knowledge of ServiceTitan, a plus.

Interpersonal Qualifications:
