We’ve built for city, state, public, private, and military customers. With over 3,000 jobs and counting, including: warehouses, schools, churches, hospitals, aircraft hangars, shopping centers, and distribution centers. Position We are seeking an experienced commercial roofing service manager to join our team in our central Florida office.
Service Operations Management:
Manage and coordinate all commercial roofing service requests, including repairs, maintenance, inspections, and small projects. Ensure all service work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Oversee inventory of service materials and equipment, ensuring availability and proper maintenance
Team Leadership & Development:
Supervise, train, and mentor a team of commercial roofing service technicians. Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and foster a positive and productive work environment. Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and company policies.
Customer Relationship Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for service clients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Provide clear and concise communication regarding service progress, recommendations, and costs. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients.
Estimating & Quoting:
Conduct thorough roof inspections to assess damage and identify necessary repairs or maintenance. Prepare accurate and competitive estimates and proposals for service work. Present solutions to clients, explaining scope of work and benefits.
Quality Control & Compliance:
Implement and enforce quality control procedures for all service work. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. Conduct post-service inspections to verify work quality and client satisfaction.
Administrative & Reporting:
Maintain detailed service records, including work orders, invoices, and material usage. Generate regular reports on service department performance, profitability, and customer feedback. Collaborate with other departments (e.g., sales, project management) to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications Experience:
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in commercial roofing, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role. Proven experience managing service operations and a team of technicians.
Technical Skills:
In-depth knowledge of various commercial roofing systems (e.g., TPO, PVC, EPDM, Modified Bitumen, Built-Up). Strong understanding of roofing repair techniques, maintenance best practices, and diagnostic methods. Proficiency in reading blueprints and specifications.
Managerial Skills:
Exceptional leadership and team-building abilities. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Communication Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and subcontractors.
Other Requirements:
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and lift heavy materials as needed. Proficiency with relevant software (e.g., CRM, project management software, Microsoft Office Suite).
