Job Description

Team Leader The Pink Parlor Ice Cream 125 Rainier Lane, Saint Johns, FL 32259 Overview The Pink Parlor is a full scope ice cream store selling premium scoop ice cream. In addition to the tradition cups, cones, milkshakes we have specialty items such as poffertjes, flights, nachos sundaes, and our Pink Parlor extravaganza. We also have a party room with sundae bar for rent for birthdays, gender reveals, and anything in between. Depending on the package taken we have a karaoke machine, and photo booth with props. We also have Instagram areas throughout the store to take pictures and make memories. The Pink Parlor is an experience destination. We also just recently added a new pink mobile truck.

Job Profile:

The Team Leader is responsible for leading a team of Ice Cream Specialist. Overall, as an Ice Cream Team Leader, your goal is to create a positive and productive work environment, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and drive the success of the ice cream store through effective leadership, teamwork, and operational excellence. Duties 1.

Team Management:

Lead a team of ice cream specialist, ensuring that they are trained, motivated, and equipped to provide excellent customer service and maintain high standards of quality. 2.

Scheduling:

Work with all Ice Cream Specialist during shift planning and scheduling, taking into account factors such as peak hours, staff availability, workload requirements to ensure adequate coverage during busy times and efficient utilization of resources. 3.

Training and Development:

Provide ongoing training and coaching to team members, helping them develop their skills in areas such as customer service, ice cream preparation of The Pink Parlor’s menu, food safety, and teamwork. 4.

Quality Control:

Monitor the quality of ice cream products, toppings, specialty items, and presentation to ensure that they meet The Pink Parlor’s standards and exceed customer expectations. 5. Inventory Management Oversee inventory levels of ice cream flavors, toppings, supplies, and equipment, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely replenishments and minimize waste. 6.

Customer Service:

Lead by example in providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with inquiries, resolving issues or complaints and ensuring that all interactions are handled with professionalism and courtesy. 7.

Operational Efficiency:

Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency and optimize workflow within the store to enhance productivity and profitability. 8.

Closing Procedures:

Count out the cash register and tip jar. a. Record appropriately as per policy, store envelop safety in office. b. Make sure the register has appropriate change to operate the next day. 9.

Safety and Sanitation:

Ensure that the store premises, equipment, and utensils are clean, sanitary, and in compliance with health and safety regulations at all times. 10.

Promotions and Marketing:

Collaborate with the owners to implement promotional activities, special events and marketing initiatives to attract customers and drive sales. 11.

Social media:

Work with our social media group to help with recommendation on postings. Post on social media on each shift. Create Flyers using Canva. 12.

Performance Management:

evaluate the performance of team members, provide feedback, recognize achievements, and address any performance issues or disciplinary matters in a fair and constructive manner. 13.

Communication:

Maintain open and effective communication channels with team members, management, and vendors to facilitate collaborate, share information, and address any concerns or challenges that may arise. Skills In order to succeed in this position, The Pink Parlor expects you to have outstanding customer service and be outgoing. You will need to be very organized, and detail oriented to be able to make our customer experience fun and memorable. Team work is mandatory! Your team is counting on you to be organized, respectful, and have patience to train them on new menu items. The ability to coach and work with employees is of the utmost importance. Prior Ice Cream experience is preferred. You will also need Strong understanding of inventory management practices. Excellent administrative skills with attention to detail. Ability to train and develop team members effectively. Demonstrated capability in team management and leadership. Proficient in interviewing techniques to identify top talent for the team.
