Parts & Service Manager 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Dawsonville, GA Are you passionate about kart racing, skilled in small engine mechanics, and ready to lead a high-performing team? AMP Kart Racing is looking for a Kart Werks Parts & Service Manager to oversee our race kart workshop, racing instruction programs, and parts operations. Description This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced motorsports environment, has leadership experience, and enjoys working hands-on with race karts, tuning, and mentoring both mechanics and racing students. Position reports to the General Manager. Salary based on experience, with potential to earn performance-based commissions.
What You’ll Do:
As a key leader in our karting division, you will: Lead and manage all race shop operations, including mechanics, tuners, and parts personnel Ensure smooth, timely, and high-quality maintenance of member and rental race karts Supervise billing, repair estimates, and commission tracking for mechanical services Drive kart parts and chassis sales while ensuring an excellent customer experience Monitor parts inventory and vendor relationships
Oversee Kart Race Instruction & Schools:
ensuring programs are taught effectively and aligned with racing principles. Support new business generation and represent AMP Kart Racing at promotional events Assist in managing departmental budgets and expenses
What We’re Looking For:
Prior team leadership and management experience (mechanics or service departments preferred) Strong mechanical skills in kart setup, tuning, engine work, and small engine repair Experience providing or knowledge of karting and/or racing is a plus Knowledge of safety regulations and standards related to go-kart maintenance. Excellent organizational, billing, and communication skills A valid driver’s license and acceptable 3 year MVR Background check required and able to pass a drug screen Demonstrates a hands-on leadership style, actively working alongside staff rather than solely supervising from a distance. Customer service mindset with a sales-driven attitude Ability to manage schedules, track job status, and uphold safety and quality standards
Working Conditions:
Must be available on weekends and open holidays – Hours vary based on business needs: Typical work week is Wednesday through Sunday Works in a variety of seasonal weather conditions – we have indoor workshops and an outdoor track Ability to lift 35+ lbs, bend, climb, and work in varied weather Must be a team player with a passion for motorsports and a positive, solutions-focused approach
