The Vocational Training Manager serves within our ministry by managing the vocational assignment program for clients on campus in the areas of housekeeping, dining services, laundry, landscape, and front desk reception. This program helps to equip clients with vocational skills, supporting their path to self-sufficiency

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Vocational Manages clients, which includes: scheduling of service activities; training; ensuring the team has the tools to complete tasks; coaching; directing and providing performance feedback Consults with the multi-disciplinary team regarding client service activity performance Assists with the design, development, and implementation of the Vocational Services plan with service activities Prepares and maintains necessary reports, including Sales Force, checklists for service activities, self-evaluations, and others. Client Services Maintains flexibility with the team in regards to client’s needs and task reassignments Determines and formulates policies related to areas for task assignments to minimize confusion and promote a high level of client morale Maintains a log of all incidents related to performing service activities, which may require updates of original responsibilities to maintain effective services and positive working conditions Facility Organization Manages clients serving in housekeeping, reception, landscape, and dining services Manages housekeeping supplies, which includes maintaining records and conducting inventory of purchases and donations Manage Peer Leaders and their development as servant leaders You will uphold the following Christ-Centered values:

Position Requirements:

One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Supervisory experience which includes training and developing others Experience working within a similar environment, ministry, or non-profit organization Strong conflict-resolution skills Self-motivated with excellent time-management skills Able to encourage others with biblical truth and prayer Able to be ‘gently’ firm when needed in order to promote accountability Possess an attitude of enthusiasm with a desire to learn and positively influence others Proven ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment without being easily overwhelmed

Physical Requirements:

Must have the ability to remain in a stationary position (standing, sitting and/or walking) Must have the ability to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment Must be able to communicate accurate information Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50lbs

Special Requirements:

This position may require being on-call on evenings and weekends in the event of incidents on campus that require vocational teams to respond. What we Have to
