Role Overview:
The Director of Renewals willbe responsible for overseeing and managing the renewals process forour customer contracts. This role is crucial for ensuring customerretention, maximizing revenue, and improving the overall customerexperience. The Director of Renewals will work closely with variousdepartments, including sales, customer success, and finance, todevelop and implement strategies that drive renewal rates andminimize churn.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and collaborate withthe sales team and other business leaders to drive renewal ratesand minimize churn. Develop and implement strategies to improverenewal rates and ensure a seamless customer experience. Monitorand manage customer portfolios to ensure timely renewals. Identifyupsell opportunities and collaborate with sales teams to maximizerevenue. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customersto promote contract renewals. Provide excellent customer service toensure customer satisfaction throughout the renewal process.
Negotiate renewal terms with clients and coordinate with salesteams. Track and report on renewal activities and trends. Maintainupdated knowledge of the company’s products and services. Identifyrisks of contract cancellations and develop strategies to avoidthem. Work closely with various teams like customer service,billing, and sales to ensure the renewal process is smooth. Manageand lead a team of renewal specialists, providing guidance,support, and performance feedback.
Qualifications:
Provenexperience in a renewals role, preferably in a leadership position.
Strong understanding of customer relationship management (CRM)systems. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability towork well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to developand maintain strong relationships with customers and internalteams. Experience in managing and leading a team, with a focus onperformance management and team development.
PreferredQualifications:
Experience in the technology or software industry.
Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM platforms. Strongfinancial acumen and understanding of revenue management.
