They are responsible for scheduling caregiver shifts, training of new hires, in field training, conducting home assessments, home visits, perform service evaluations, etc. This individual reports directly to the Administrator/Owner and works side by side with the Office Manager/Care Coordinator.
Qualifications:
- H.S. Diploma or GED, some college and/or 3-5 years of related experience and/or training preferred.
- Experience in home care, HCBS rules and regulations and knowledge of the healthcare industry preferred.
- Previous management experience.
- Prior scheduling experience preferred.
- Requires proficiency in computer skills including but not limited to MS Office, MS Excel and
- Scheduling program.
- Must possess and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication, leadership and organizational skills and customer service techniques.
- Must perform and manage multiple responsibilities concurrently and work well under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Initiate hiring process for and interview caregivers, upon receipt of application.
- Orient and train caregivers and maintain current caregiver files in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Record employee information such as attendance, performance reviews, evaluations, and termination date and reason.
- Visit prospective clients/clients after referrals are made to introduce our organization (as needed).
- Schedule shifts by matching caregiver qualifications and availability to client’s needs.
- Supervise caregivers and complete performance appraisals for caregivers at specified intervals.
- Assist with employment decisions, including hiring and termination.
- Understand and adhere to established policies and procedures.
- Perform initial and ongoing in-home evaluation, caregiver introductions and supervision of services.
- Complete appropriate visit records in a timely manner and handle coordination of care for client services.
- Report changes in client condition to agency employees involved in client’s care.
- May be required to take calls after hours and weekends to handle emergencies, scheduling issues, and client referrals and intakes.
- May perform continuing and on-going caregiver training.
- Participate in quality assurance reviews and evaluations of the agency’s services.
