Automotive Lot Supervisor 2.9 2.9 out of 5 stars 221 Great Road, Littleton, MA 01460 Summary As a Lot Attendant Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of the parking area, ensuring a seamless experience for customers. Reporting to the dealership manager, you will utilize your core skills in driving, customer service, and communication to lead your team effectively. ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Walk the lot; look for housekeeping concerns, holes in inventory.
- Meet with vendors; walk the lot and note any issues with new or used vehicles that may need to be addressed (i.e. dents, scratches). Review lists prepared by vendors of vehicles with concerns, verify issues noted and present to used car manager for review and approval
- Prepare and review vehicles going out for auction every Monday; ensure wholesale inventory has been removed from website and is being shipped to the correct auction
- Review all trade appraisals; look over managers notes and compare to vehicle, evaluate car fax.
- Bullpen vehicles; review trades, reassess damage and areas that need reconditioning, check over all mechanical functions of all power equipment, note any additional areas of concern
- Be aware of how each vehicle was appraised (value lot, wholesale, retail) and issues for each vehicle before it goes into the shop, inform used car manager of questionable vehicles
- Organize notes for each vehicle; create repair orders, schedule work for vendors and set up detail as applicable
- Coordinate the pickup and delivery of any vehicles going to vendors for repair
- Track value lot vehicles; run through shop to determine items needed for inspection and create a customer disclosure.
- Maintain a warranty accruals list;. Obtain approval for each warranty and send to accounting
- Assist with lease returns; look over vehicle for damage and note mileage, return jacket to used car manager and notify GM administrative assistant for tracking purposes. Assign stock numbers to lease returns we purchase
- Monitor purchase log to ensure stock numbers are not being assigned to multiple vehicles (p-cars, Autotrader and auction vehicles)
- Interview, hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all lot staff, direct and schedule the activities of all department employees, determine staffing requirements, monitor employees’ payroll records
- Supervise the daily work flow to ensure accuracy and efficiency; develop minimum standards and goals for employees, work with staff to exceed goals.
Qualifications Strong driving skills, including proficiency with manual transmission vehicles Excellent customer service and communication abilities Experience in dealership or retail environments Knowledge of cash handling and retail math Bilingual capabilities are a plus Background in guest services or hospitality is preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions, this position requires you to be indoors and outdoors frequently throughout the day
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time Schedule 40 hours per week, overtime may be available as needed.
Monday- Friday 9-5 some Saturdays may be needed with additional day off during that week
